4 hours work is too poor stamina as well as 16 hours. You will not need GPS to go to the nearest forest. You will need it in autonomous travel one week or one month long. So most suitable GPS is that which offers operation with standard changeable elements (like AA, AAA etc). You will not find a power point in mountains, in forest or in a desert. With Li Ion batteries its just a toy for young boys. Please take for example new Garmin GPS receivers of 60 series.
Your GSP unit remains too vulnerable in a crash because it goes forward the handlebar. To be more protected it should not step forward but be reversed inside so that handlebar accept any possible shock.

I appreciate your comments and suggestions. Cerevellum is only a concept, other than the working Hindsight model. It was just a little side design project.
Anyhow, much of the intended specifications were made a few years ago when battery technology was not as advanced. Considering 2 AAA batteries lasted for 2 hours, I guessed that Li-Ion would go for 4 hours with full-time Hindsight video. It can be assumed that it would last much, much longer using just the normal modules. Because it’s completely expandable, one of the plug-in modules could be a receptacle for a few batteries so as to extend the life of the battery. That’s what’s nice about this product…the ideas are limitless.
Aesthetically, I felt that having the screen in front of the bars, in line with the stem would be the most pleasing. Also, since it is aimed at the road market mainly, the display would be protected by the drops. If the screen was located behind the bars, it would need to be situated above the stem. That sometimes gets in the way of the riders’ knees and would take a huge impact if the bike landed upside-down.
Since a company has not been found to produce it yet, it’s assured that there will be some changes made along the way and your suggestions will certainly be noted. Thanks!
