Breaking News: Lance Armstrong on racing Ironman: "I want to do it as fast as I can"
After many years of speculation Lance Armstrong has confirmed that he wants to race an Ironman after finishing his cycling comeback and career.
According to published reports when speaking with Outside Magazine about his Ironman ambitions, Armstrong said "Whenever I'm done with this (comeback). I can unequivocally say yes to that."
"I'm definitely motivated to do an Ironman," he added. "We'll go back and I'll be close to 40, but I've swum more in the last three years than before that."
Armstrong recently spent just over a week on the big Island of Hawaii training and getting ready to race the Tour Down Under in Australia.
Last week in Hawaii he pedaled his bike on the Queen K Highway, the same windy road used for the annual Ironman World Championships race.
On his Twitter page Armstrong poked fun at triathletes with THIS photo, but with today's breaking news it seems that Armstrong plans on returning to his first sport after he concludes his cycling career.
According to Australia's theage.com:

Before turning to professional cycling Armstrong was a winning Olympic distance triathlete in the 1980's.
